The International Day of the Boy Child Outreach
The International Day of the Boy Child is celebrated annually on May 16. This day aims to recognize the importance of boys’ well-being and the unique challenges they face, while also celebrating their contributions to families and communities. Treasured Points of Light Foundation uses this day to organize outreach and workshops that advocates for boy’s rights, including access to education, healthcare, and protection from violence and exploitation.

Boys’ Health and well-being

In 2024, the theme focused on “Boys’ health and well-being,” highlighting the importance of addressing issued like bullying, substance abuse, and mental health awareness. The activities line-up by the Treasured Points of Light Foundation includes educational workshops, health talks, awareness campaigns, and community engagement initiatives aimed at fostering supportive environment for boys.

Educating and Celebrating the Boy Child
Our outreach workshops on Health and Well-being of the Boy Child focus on mental health, emotional well-being, and personal hygiene for young boys. The workshops are aimed to help boys understand the importance taking care of their health. Other activities planned for this day includes football competition to promote teamwork and physical fitness while allowing boys to bond through friendly competition. Family members will also be encouraged to write letters of appreciation and special gifts for boys. These will go a long way to boost the self-esteem of boys.
